ANOTHER defeat in their next game and Otley will really be in trouble according to their Coach Peter Clegg.

He said: "If we lose against bottom club Waterloo the pressure is really on.

"Against Moseley we had our strongest side out since we beat Cornish Pirates with Scott Connor, Dan Hyde and Howard Parr back so we have no excuses."Otley visit Waterloo, the only club below them in the table and a win is vital if they are to get back above Moseley.

It is going to be a nailbiting end to the season for Otley as it is vital that they stay above the two relegation spots.

The task of making up further ground is even harder as London Welsh are a further four points ahead of Moseley in fourth bottom.

Otley have faced this situation in National One before when in their first season in the division they only survived on a better points difference consigning Orrell to the drop.

Since then they have done an excellent job in this money orientated division finishing seventh, 11th, fifth twice and last season ninth.

Clegg has a hard job in a division where money talks as Otley are the only members club at this level of the game - most clubs having millionaire backers.

Obviously the main factor in this disastrous season has been the vast number of long term injuries their players have suffered, none more so than line-out star Paul Williams.

Since he suffered a broken leg back in November Otley have struggled in the line-outs and the only line-out ball they got in Saturday's relegation scrap, with Moseley was when Moseley made a mess of their own throw.

Otley are now relying on a concerted effort from everyone - on the field and off - to preserve their National One status.
