BUS operators across West Yorkshire are introducing new timetables.
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority has worked with companies to agree changes that it hopes will deliver ‘reliable services for those that need them while reflecting changing patterns of demand’.
The changes - taking effect from Monday, March 30 - will typically mean weekday services starting and ending at their usual times while having their frequency reduced to Sunday levels.
Additional services will also operate on routes at times when demand has been higher, to help passengers follow social distancing guidelines. Passengers are being advised to visit www.wymetro.com for more.
Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Transport Committee, Councillor Kim Groves, said: “We are pleased that so many people are staying at home to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. The new timetables will deliver a sustainable network which ensures services are there for key workers while responding to the changing patterns of demand.”
