THIS shot shows the northern end of Fewston Reservoir basking in pale winter sunshine.
It was taken by Addingham resident Philip Robins on Thursday, December 5.
Commenting on the image, Mr Robins said he liked how it captured ‘the last colours of autumn still providing a colourful backdrop to the waters of Fewston’.
Located in the Washburn Valley north of Otley, and west of Harrogate, the reservoir was built in 1879 and has a capacity of about about 3.5 million cubic metres.
The overflow from the reservoir feeds into the adjoining Swinsty Reservoir below.
