ON Sunday, July 21, six-year-old Robert Brooks, a pupil of Addingham Primary School, completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in nine hours and 54 minutes.
Supported by his parents, Helen and Tim, Robert set off from Ribblehead at 7.19am, climbing Whernside, Inglebrough and Pen-y-Ghent before returning to the start at 5.13pm.
It is thought that Robert is the youngest child to complete the challenge in under 10hours, and is believed to be only the second six year old to complete it.
Raising money for Friends of Addingham Primary School (FAPS) spurred him round, and his total has already passed the £500 mark.
