A BRAMHOPE based rugby team is celebrating reaching the semi-finals of a national competition.
West Park Leeds under 18 girls (the Kites) became one of the top six teams in the country by defeating Castleford in the the Area 6 Final of the National Cup on Sunday, March 3. The squad is now preparing for the National Cup semi-finals on Sunday, April 7 at Derby where they will face Mansfield and Worcester in a three-way tie. Team coach Kurt Nutchey said: “I am incredibly proud of the girls and what they have achieved. We are looking forward to the next round and doing Yorkshire proud.”
