A JIGSAW festival is about to be staged in Ilkley.
Christchurch will enjoy the colour and excitement of its 5th annual jigsaw festival. Organisers say the event promises to be just as exciting as in previous years. Last year the world’s largest production jigsaw was put together and displayed. It now hangs alongside other giant jigsaws in the reception area of a sock warehouse in Bolton.
Last year around £1,000 was raised and shared by two charities and Christchurch. The organisers are hoping this year’s event will be equally rewarding. The chosen charities this time are Action for Children and Martin House hospice.
The event is being sponsored in the form of new limited edition jigsaws by Gibsons, Falcon/Jumbo Games and Ravensburge. These will be sold or offered as competition prizes alongside hundreds of secondhand jigsaws which have been made up to be seen before buying. The event will take place between 10am and 4pm from Wednesday, October 31 to Saturday, November 3.
