ADDINGHAM Gala takes place on Saturday, July 14 this year when the theme will be 'Kaleidoscope: Carnival of Colour'.
Starting at 1pm the parade, led by a samba band, will head down Addingham Main Street, finishing at the gala field off Stockinger Lane, where the Gala Queen will be crowned.
There will be plenty of attractions such as the dog show, pet show, handicraft competitions, owls, ferret racing, kite making, local food, drink and craft stalls. There will also be plenty for the children including zorbing, bungee trampolines, bouncy castles, races and face painting.
Ilkley Gym Club will give a gymnastics performance and there will be a colourful kite display. Ermysted’s swing band will be performing during the day. The annual Fell Race organised by Ilkley Harriers, will also take place.
Profits of £2,300 from last year's gala have been donated to community groups and organisations.
Ella Whitehead, of Addingham Gala committee said: “We rely on the support of local sponsors and stallholders to make our event a reality as well as the team of dedicated volunteers who organise the event. We are always looking for more help. If you can help in any way or have any queries about the event, please contact us via our Addingham Gala Facebook page or email addinghamgala@gmail.com”
