VOLUNTEERS from Rawdon in Bloom planted thousands of daffodil bulbs at the weekend.
Members of the group set to work and planted 6,000 bulbs in the Layton Lane area.
Rawdon in Bloom Vice Chairman Phil Gomersall said: “All in all the group have now planted a staggering 60,000 daffodil bulbs over the last four years, all around Rawdon. It should look really spectacular this coming spring 2020.
“It is planned to start work on another permanent garden this winter similar to the beautiful garden created by the group opposite the Emmott Arms but this time at the entrance to Rawdon itself near Layton Avenue.”
