A BLACK tie dinner in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice is being organised by Aireborough Rotary.
The Lord Mayor of Leeds Cllr Graham Latty has chosen the hospice as his charity and the Rotary club is organising its own event to help the cause.
The entertainment will be a Carpenters tribute evening featuring Laurie Briggs. The event will take place at 7pm for 7.30pm on Friday, March 29 at Bradford Golf Club. The three course meal costs £25, with all proceeds going to St Gemma’s Hospice and Rotary charities. To book a place contact gdavies621@btinternet.com or call 0113 2588074. More details can be found at www.aireborough.rotary1040.org.
Each Lord Mayor of Leeds chooses a local charity to champion during their time in office.
St Gemma’s, in Moortown, offers specialist medical and nursing care to thousands of local people each year and gives support to their families and friends. It was opened in 1978 and is the largest hospice in Yorkshire.
