Actor brothers Anthony and Matthew Lewis will pass on tricks of the trade in a new Leeds theatrical school.

The Horsforth siblings, who have both carved out impressive careers in film and television, are behind the launch of the ‘unique’ Totally Lit North.

Matthew made his name as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter blockbusters before going on to star in The Syndicate and The Rise. His brother Anthony has more than 20 years experience as a professional actor and director - starring in Emmerdale, The Syndicate and Torchwood and well as running his own production company IGUN pictures.

Now Anthony is launching a brand new drama school in Leeds, where his brother will be patron and will be involved in masterclasses.

The school – launched this week – follows on from the success of London-based Totally Lit Premium Acting Academy which was set up in August 2013. The northern venture will open in February half term and will work with 11 to 19-year-olds.

Anthony, who is artistic director, said their drama school was unique and would be the only one giving students the chance to act alongside experience professional actors on film.

He said: “We start our search for our 40 hopefuls now. We are holding a series of free open workshops with 11 to 19-year-olds, over the first two Sundays in February.”

He stressed it was essential to book in advance. For more information, totallylitnorth.com.
