AIREBOROUGH Rotary is to join forces with a new sister club.

The club will sign an agreement this week during a joint meeting with Madras Chenna Patna.

Earlier this month Aireborough members joined in the installation of the new president of the Madras club on zoom. A total of 133 participants included members from other clubs in Madras and from Kingston in Canada.

Next week the Aireborough club will say goodbye to Sofia Prassa and Petros Tsitnidis who are returning to Athens after five years in Leeds.

Spokesman Robert Mirfield said: “They have contributed vastly in enthusiasm, humour and wide-ranging skills to the club particularly in financial, social media and secretarial skills and will be sadly missed.

“They will be retaining their membership of the club and continue contributing from a distance.”
