Some people look forward to putting their feet up on holiday, but not Barry Gray.
The 69-year-old grandad decided to walk the whole 127.5-mile length of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal for charity.
Mr Gray has so far raised £550 for the Aireborough Summer Activities Scheme helping young disabled people have fun out and about.
Mr Gray, of Otley, took time off from behind the meat counter at the town’s Sainsbury’s store, and set off from Liverpool on Sunday.
His colleague Linda Guy, who met up with him at Apperley Bridge, said: “We are in awe of him. Most people look forward to having a rest on holiday, but not Barry.”
