THE Health and Safety Executive has charged two companies after two men died in the Bradford district.
Lee Horton, 58, from Ilkley, and Daron Pickstock, 43, from Chorley, Lancashire, both died after an incident at Unit 8 at Castlefield Industrial Estate, Bingley, on October 29, 2020.
The Health and Safety Executive has now confirmed it has charged two companies, Space Productiv Ltd and Collins Site Services Ltd.
Mr Horton was a managing director of Space Productiv Ltd, an engineering firm based at Unit 8 at Castlefield Industrial Estate.
A spokesperson for the regulator told the Telegraph & Argus: "The Health and Safety Executive has charged Space Productiv Ltd and Collins Site Services Ltd with breaching section two and three the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974.
"This relates to an incident at Space Productiv Ltd's premises on Castlefields Industrial Estate in Bingley on October 29, 2020, in which Mr Lee Horton and Mr Daron Pickstock were killed."
The date of the first court hearing is yet to be confirmed.
Inquests into the men's deaths were opened at Bradford Coroners' Court on November 12, 2020, and heard they were understood to be "working together at the time" of the incident.
