A FRIENDS group will hold two bat walks on Otley Chevin this week.
Led by ranger Emma Towers, the Friends of Chevin walks will take place on Thursday, September 12, and Saturday, September 14, with both meeting at The White House (top of Johnny Lane) at 6.30pm.
Emma will help everyone identify the local bats.
Bat detectors will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own if you have one.
Parking is available but limited up at The White House.
Then on Saturday, September 28, the Friends of Chevin will host a fungus foray.
The event is an opportunity to learn about local fungi from Andy Woodall from the Mid-Yorkshire Fungus Group.
Meet at the White House at 10.30am and wear clothing appropriate to walking on uneven ground.
Both events need to be booked as places are limited - please visit eventbrite.com/e/fungus-foray-tickets-1008718854247 for the fungus foray and chevinforest.co.uk/events/bat-walk-saturday/ for the bat walks.
