HORSFORTH Brewery is celebrating three special occasions this weekend - its 6th birthday, a milestone 500th brew and the Leeds Pride weekend - with a special edition beer "Supa Fruity".

The unique 6.0 per cent ABV fruited sour has been brewed in collaboration with Trans Leeds, a charity dedicated to supporting the transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive community in Leeds and in the surrounding district.

Mark Costello, owner and founder of Horsforth Brewery, in New Road Side, Horsforth, said he was delighted to be able to mark three special occasions with the beer. He said: "Reaching our 6th birthday and 500th brew at the same time, which also happens to be Leeds Pride weekend, meant we really had to brew something special and we’re delighted we could partner with Trans Leeds for it and donate some of the proceeds towards their cause.

"We are proud that our taproom is seen as a safe space so it was a natural choice to support an LGBTQ+ charity for the occasion."

The drink is available from Friday, August 4 in limited-edition cans at the Horsforth Brewery taproom and selected retailers across Leeds and West Yorkshire, and at the Leeds Pride event on Sunday, August 6.
