Local Butcher & Charcutiers Lishman's of Ilkley have been celebrated at a “Business Champions” event at 10 Downing Street hosted by Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt.

The reception was a chance to celebrate exceptional local businesses across the UK, with local butchers Lishman's nominated by Ilkley’s MP Robbie Moore for their outstanding achievements in the industry.

David Lishman travelled down to Westminster to attend the event, receiving a tour of Parliament and enjoying a pint on the House of Commons terrace before attending the Downing Street reception.

Since its establishment in 1986, Lishman's prides itself on sourcing the majority of its meat from regional farms that prioritise husbandry, welfare, and exceptional quality. With a a commitment to traditional methods, Lishman's has garnered a reputation for delivering delightful culinary experiences to Ilkley and the wider area.

In recognition of their exceptional products, David and Emma Lishman, the driving forces behind Lishman's of Ilkley, were also recently awarded with the Diamond Award by the esteemed British Chef Jeremy Lee during the Smithfield Awards ceremony at Butchers' Hall in London.
