A NEW restaurant and bar has announced its long-anticipated opening date as it undergoes a £2 million transformation.
Sancerre, named after the famous wine region in France, will offer fine dining and a contemporary bar in the old library building on Otley Road in Guiseley.
Sancerre is set to open on Friday, May 26 with a menu featuring everything from mussels marinére steamed in white wine and afternoon teas to pan-seared sea bass or beef cheek with rich bourguignon sauce.
The region’s famous Sauvignon Blanc will be used in many of the dishes at Sancerre.
The drinks menu has a selection of wines and spirits as well as Sancerre’s own cocktails.
Meanwhile there’ll be something for people looking for lunches and light bites.
A spokesperson for Sancerre said: “We're really excited to be opening Sancerre Restaurant in Guiseley.
“We've been working hard to make sure everything is ready for our first day on Friday 26th May but we can't wait to start welcoming people through our doors.
“We want guests to enjoy their experience at Sancerre – whether they're having dinner with friends or family or just popping in for drinks at the bar – it's all about creating great memories.”
Reservations will open on Wednesday, May 17.
