MEMBERS of the Inner Wheel Club of Aireborough held a plant and cake stall and a large barbecue for family, friends and neighbours.
Club correspondent Caroline Jenkinson said: "The barbecue was held in President Anne Brown’s large three-tier back garden. Salads and cakes were provided by Inner Wheel members, Anne supplied various meats which her son expertly cooked outside. The afternoon was mostly sunny and warm but we endured two short but heavy downpours. However, this didn’t spoil this most enjoyable event. We huddled under the umbrellas and gazebos until we could emerge and steam gently in the sun. A raffle was also held. All proceeds from the two events will go to Over The Wall, a charity which supports seriously ill children and their families, our main charity for this year, and other IW charities."
