RESULTS are not going Bulls' way at the moment, but full-back Elliot Hall has at least hit a purple patch.

After an injury-hit start to the campaign, he has started three games in a row, and has scored three tries in his last five games, giving him a much-needed boost.

He said: "I'm really glad to get a run of games in, and I feel I'm getting my confidence back to where it was.

"I've said previously I'm happy when I'm doing well personally, but ultimately I'm always looking to contribute and add value to the team.

"The more games I get, like I am now, I feel like I am doing that."

On his try-scoring run, Hall said: "Getting over the line for the first time against Barrow in particular really helped my confidence.

"I had that injury in pre-season and that slow start, which hadn't happened to me to that extent before, so now I'm playing regularly, I'm really pleased."

Hall started last Sunday's defeat to York on the wing, before scoring a late consolation try from full-back.

He admitted: "I prefer playing at full-back, though I've played on the wing a bit in my career.

"I'm more comfortable at full-back and I do prefer it, as I feel I can add more through the middle, just pushing forward in support and getting on the end of passes.

"But we have a team that is flexible in the back line, which is ideal for when there are injuries or if things happen mid-game that require a change of shape.

"And personally, I'm just pleased to be playing in whatever capacity is required."

Talking about the importance of growing his relationship as a full-back with regular half-backs Jordan Lilley and Dec Patton, Hall said: "The two of them are quite similar in the way they command players about.

"That's ideal for me as it means I know where I need to be when they get the ball.

"They're both experienced and I'm enjoying learning from them every day at training and getting their advice.

"They do that in games too and if I can implement what they've taught me, it only helps my development."

Hall is part of the Bulls' marketing team too, and has been helping them run community events on home matchdays all season, with their Pride fixture against Newcastle at Odsal taking place tomorrow, immediately after the women host Leigh Miners Rangers in Super League 2 at the same venue.

The full-back said: "It's always good to show the values of the club and what we stand for.

"Bulls is an all-inclusive, family club and we want to make every occasion for everyone, which you've seen with the community takeovers and now this Pride round."

Asked if Bulls are confident going into the Newcastle clash, despite losing four league games in a row at Odsal, Hall said: "We've looked back at the video of the York defeat, and though we were on the wrong end of the score, we weren't far off.

"A few decisions didn't go our way and there were a few lapses in concentration, and the game can change in an instant when those happen.

"We're not far off and we have the confidence for this weekend that we can put it right."
