AN OTLEY drop-in session will be held this week for the Ilkley and District u3a.

The event will take place from 10.30am to 12 noon on Friday, April 22 at the Otley Core, Orchardgate, LS21 3NX.

A spokesperson said: "The u3a is a registered charity and an international educational co-operative for those no longer working full time or raising a family. In our local u3a we have over 1,600 members and about 140 Interest Groups; come along to meet us and find out what activities we have to offer to help keep you mentally, physically and socially active.

The u3a is a UK-wide collection of more than 1000 charities that provide the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together and learn for fun.The movement, which began 40 years ago, showcases what it means to have a positive later life.
