A WOMAN has been presented with a certificate to celebrate 70 years of worship at the same church.
Daphne Potter, 88, received the certificate from the Rev Jason Mccullagh at Otley Bridge Church.
Her son Jonathan Atkinson said the presentation made his mother's day
"As I’m sure you’ll appreciate this is a great milestone, further more it coincides with this year's jubilee as she’s been a member of the church the same amount of time the queen has been on the throne," he said.
"She’s so proud and can’t believe she’s got over 50 likes on Facebook."
He added: "The certificate was a lovely surprise for her as you can tell by the smile on her face."
Mrs Potter, who was born in 1933, currently lives in Guiseley and previously lived in Menston.
Otley's Bridge United Reformed Church celebrated its 200th anniversary last year with events including a display.
