AIREDALE and Wharfedale Family History Group has released details of its meetings in March.
On Monday, March 7 Dr Frances Hurd will speak about 'Secrets and Lies, Adventures in Other People's Family History'. Some extraordinary and poignant stories have been uncovered whilst researching for clients.
On Thursday, March 17 Sheila Harris will talk about ' A tale of two Constantine Families from Conistone in Upper Wharfedale'. This is a study of the families' travels to improve their lives, showing the variety of resources available in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The talks, by Zoom, are free and open to anyone. Meetings start at 7pm with time for a chat and the speaker will begin at 7.30pm. To find out more about the society and how to register for the talks visit the website awfhs.org.
The history group's website says: "Founded in 1980 the group is open to anyone interested in tracing their ancestry. In 2019 Wharfedale FHG merged with the Keighley and District FHS.
"If your roots are in the Airedale and Wharfedale area or further afield you will find help and encouragement in this fascinating hobby by joining the Airedale and Wharfedale Family History Society."
