RAWDON-IN-BLOOM is off to an early start in 2022 with the installation of two planters in front of Trinity Church and adjacent to and facing the A65.
Vice Chairman Phil Gomersall said: "The RIB volunteers were out installing them on a chilly morning last week. They installed the planters which were recently made in house, filled with soil and compost and planted up with temporary planting until the summer planting takes place.
"They also did some initial preparation for a community project about to take place behind the church buildings.
"If anyone would like to join our team of volunteers contact rawdonrib@gmail.com."
Rawdon In Bloom is a community group of local volunteers who meet regularly to plant bulbs, arrange more permanent planting, and fund raise for the group.
In September 2019 Rawdon in bloom was awarded a silver gilt at the Yorkshire in Bloom competition, improving on silver in 2018.
