HAVE you ever thought of churches as cold and unwelcoming? Think again. On Sunday, January 16th Blubberhouses Church is open for morning worship, but not before serving hot chocolate and refreshments to walkers and others who may be passing. The church will be open from 10.15am and visitors are welcome to come and join the service at 11am, or to leave earlier. Or to call in after the service. Dogs and muddy boots are also welcome.
On Saturday, the church will be welcoming ultra runners and their supporters. The church will host the Punk Panther runners as they make their way from Otley to Pateley Bridge and back. The church has undergone major investments recently with under seating heating, a kitchenette and convenience. The community of worshippers welcomes visitors warmly, on Sunday and Saturday whether running, worshipping or just wanting shelter and replenishment for mind body and soul.
