A MENSTON man has been fined £196 after being caught exceeding the speed limit by just six miles per hour.
Marlon MacFarlane, 46, of Bingley Road, Menston, was travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone on the A6177 Mayo Avenue in Bradford, between Manchester Road and Rooley Lane, on June 8, 2021.The offence took place on a restricted road where there was manned equipment.
An offence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required was withdrawn.
The defendant was fined £196 by Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 15 and also ordered to pay £34 to fund victim services and costs of £90. His driving record was endorsed with three points.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
