THE ANNUAL Prince Henry’s Rugby Fundraising Festival is back after a two-year hiatus.

The event, which is hosted by Otley RUFC, with support from Otliensians Rugby, traditionally attracts a crowd of over 500 supporters.

The charitable festival will take place at 11am on Monday, December 27. Entrance is £5 on the day (U18s free). Fifty per cent of profits will go to the Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow Foundations, and the remainder towards the PHGS Rugby Fund.

“We could not be more excited to be running this event in partnership with our local clubs again.” said Chris Smith, English Faculty Leader and 1st VX Manager, “It has become part of the Otley Christmas tradition, with hundreds of people gathering to watch some cracking rugby, enjoy great food and drink and raise money for some very worthy causes. In previous years, we have raised over £3000 for our charities. Of course, we couldn’t run an event like this without the support of our local community and local people have always been very generous with their support for the match and the fundraising raffle.”
