ON Sunday, September 5 Fr Alex Crawford was licensed as the new Vicar of St Margaret’s Ilkley by the Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Revd Nick Baines.
The church was filled with music and celebration once again after so long in pandemic restrictions.
Fr Alex is married to Natalie, and they have five young children. He loves singing and walking, and is looking forward to putting both of these passions to use in the church and on the moor.
Fr Alex said: “We can’t wait to get to know everybody, and get stuck in to the life of the parish and community. I am so excited for all that lies ahead.”
St Margaret’s is a Church of England parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition.
There are four services on Sundays, including a family service at 9.15 am, and services through the week.
