BARNOLDSWICK Town travelled to Burscough on Tuesday evening but they were edged 2-0.
Town were unfortunate to be on the losing side, creating a number of opportunities however the final ball was lacking at points for the away side.
It took the hosts five minute to take the lead when a cross was delivered and Declan Daniels pounced to head them into the lead.
And it didn't take them long to double their lead. On minute 17, Burscough’s Christopher Lomax slot the ball past Gidley into the bottom left corner after latching onto a through ball.
Unfortunately for Andy Clarkson's men, they couldn't find a response and the result remained the same.
Town host AFC Blackpool in the FA Vase Trophy this weekend.
