CELEBRATED author and journalist Tim Marshall is to give a talk at Rawdon Community Library.

Mr Marshall, who is from Leeds, will talk about his latest best-selling book The Power of Geography at 6.30pm on September 16.

The book, which has received rave reviews, looks at how every country’s choices are influenced by geography.

A library spokesperson said: "With in-depth studies of ten parts of the world including Australia, the UK, Iran, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Spain – and Space – the book is written with Marshall's trademark wit and insight. It is a lucid and gripping exploration of the power of geography to shape humanity’s past, present and future.

"Tickets are £5, and are available in advance from the library. Numbers may have to be limited due to Covid restrictions, so be sure to get your tickets soon."
