HORSFORTH School is pleased to report some outstanding achievements by its students in their GCSEs this summer.

Individual standout successes for students with bright futures include five students - Will, Sam, Evelyn, Scarlett and Eve who all obtained grade 9s/Distinction* across the board and another fantastic twelve students achieved grade 9s and 8s in every GCSE they took.

This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

Dr. Paul Bell, the school’s Headteacher said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress to where they want to and we wish them all the very best of luck for the future. I look forward to seeing many return to our sixth form in September.”
