MINIBEAST Family Fun was enjoyed by children, parents and grandparents in the courtyard at Ilkley Manor House.

The minibeast trail, which Ann Riley of Wharfedale Naturalists helped to create, was followed by families. Children - and some adults - made minibeasts. Some took home model spiders and bees, others made bug houses for their gardens. Some shared spider and ladybird poems and organisers hope more will write poems and send them to the Manor House.

The activities will continue from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday August 14.There will be additional butterflies to find in the garden and the chance for children to create their own butterflies and minibeasts. All are welcome to come along to the Family Fun Saturday or download the minibeast trail from the Manor House website - https://www.ilkleymanorhouse.org/event/family-fun-minibeast-trail/ - and follow the trail any time in the summer holidays.
