FOUR Guiseley School students have been selected as the region winners of a census competition.
Pia Hutchinson, April Fletcher, Sophie Hamilton and Lauren Papworth, from Year 8, were successful in the Census 2021: It's Our Story competition.
A school spokesman said: "The students were encouraged to find out about the 2021 census and how it can be used to help their local community. From this brief, the girls created a video aimed at encouraged people to take part in the census. They worked hard together as a team online over a period in which all school learning was facilitated remotely.
"The students and their teachers are all delighted that they have succeeded with their census competition entry.
"Their entry will be added to the National Archives catalogue for future generations to look back on and can be viewed here: https://census.gov.uk/census-secondary-education-programme."
