THE DUNWELLS will stage "pop up" performances in Leeds this week to celebrate the launch of their new track Summertime.

The band, which has links with Yeadon and Menston, will perform live in the centre of Leeds on Friday, June 18, outside Sociable Folk at 1pm, Café Nero at 2.30pm and City Square at 4pm. They will also perform in Ripon on Saturday, June 19.

Summertime is currently live to pre-save on Spotify and other music platforms. The track has a positive message which celebrates Summer 21 opening up. It was written and produced by brothers Dave and Joe Dunwell, who together make up the Indie Folk / Americana band.

Later this summer, they will release an EP with four new tracks. This comes after a year when the band committed to making a difference and they have so far played over two hundred and twenty free live shows reaching over one million views since the start of Lockdown.

They said: "We were blown away by how many people kept tuning in every day and sharing their positive stories including fans from all over the world. This helped inspire our new music which is optimistic, upbeat and celebrates the world re-opening."
