WASHBURN Heritage Centre has re-opened its tea room as Covid restrictions begin to ease. The centre, at Fewston Church, began serving refreshments outdoors again from April 17.
A spokesperson said: "We will be open for outdoor table service every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. If you don't already know us, we are situated in the beautiful Washburn Valley, overlooking Swinsty Reservoir at The Washburn Heritage Centre, at Fewston Church. Our tea room is entirely run by volunteers and we have a reputation for the best homemade cakes in the area."
The heritage centre aims to promote the culture and heritage of the Washburn Valley and offers talks on a variety of subjects by local experts, as well as walks, exhibitions, events and suppers. Membership is £10 per year. Visit www. washburn.org for further details. Also twitter @Fewstonchurch and Facebook Washburn Heritage Centre.
