BRIGHOUSE Town’s FA Women’s National League Division One North games may have stopped for the season, but are still in the FA Cup.

Tomorrow’s second round tie at home to divisional rivals Newcastle United (1pm kick-off) may be behind closed doors, but fans can still follow the game on mixlr.

The club have asked if fans can contribute to costs via a GoFundMe page. Details are on Town’s Twitter feed @btafcwomen.

Should Brighouse be successful, the next round will be seven days later, away to Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield were leading the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division this season, and received an invitation to join the Championship, but had to turn that down as they couldn’t afford the cost of playing at elite level.

The West Riding County Women's Football League, classed as Tier 7, have also suspended normal activities for this season, but they are to announce a Supplementary Cup, as the FA have granted permission for them to continue games into June.

Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Under-18 Girls’ League is scheduled to resume on April 10.

Bradford City FITC, Brighouse Town and Queensbury Celtic have league games at home, against Scarborough, Horsforth SM and Guiseley respectively, but attendance is subject to regulations currently in force.

They are at least still playing, but Bradford (Park Avenue) Ladies, like their Bradford City counterparts, will have to wait until next season for their next competitive fixture.

The 2020/21 Season for Tiers 3-6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid was halted, then declared ‘null and void’.

There will also be no promotion and relegation between these tiers for the 2020-21 season, including no promotion from Tier 3 into Tier 2 and no relegation from Tier 6 into Tier 7.

Avenue play their games at Tier 6, in the North East Regional Women's Football League Southern Division.

Preparations for the new season have recommenced, with training sessions having moved to 8pm on Wednesdays at Horsfall.

Anyone who is interested in playing should get in touch through Avenue Ladies’ social media channels or contact them via email on bradfordparkavenuelafc@hotmail.com
