HIDDEN Ilkley, a campaign that aims to showcase non-retail businesses, has been launched on the new Discover Ilkley website.

Featuring firms based in and around the town centre, the initiative, organised by the Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) looks at their links with Ilkley, as well as the role they play as a part of the vibrant commercial activity in the local community.

Businesses featured include Knoll Yarns a company that trades its wares across the globe supplying fashion houses Chanel, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and Prada. Also highlighted is 247 Nursing, which began as a business formed round the kitchen table, which has now grown to supply over 600 nurses across the UK.

Felicity Gains, Ilkley’s BID manager said: “We are delighted to be showcasing the varied range of businesses located in Ilkley. The Hidden Ilkley project celebrates the town’s amazing and diverse specialists who choose to make Ilkley their base and play an important part in supporting the local economy.

"Other firms included in this initial phase are Halliday Clark, an award-winning architectural practice, Ilkley Motor Company who specialise in luxury and vintage cars and Ison Harrison Solicitors who have been serving the local community for over 10 years.”

Each of the Hidden Ilkley stories is now featured on the brand-new Discover Ilkley website. In addition, these businesses will also be highlighted on the Ilkley BID LinkedIn page.

Felicity added: “The Hidden Ilkley campaign will promote the diverse local businesses we have in the town, as part of the new Discover Ilkley’s business listings. If any other businesses are interested in being featured, we’d love to hear from them and show more of what Ilkley has to offer.”
