PARENT of four and local teacher Lucy Nuttgens will be Otley and Yeadon’s Labour candidate for the Leeds City Council elections in May 2021. Lucy, of Otley, says she will bring a wealth of experience in education and disability issues and will stand up for the needs of both Yeadon and Otley communities.

“Leeds City Council has been devastated by the cuts in government funding since 2010, and now by the economic impact of the virus,” said Lucy. “My priority if elected will be to work closely with Leeds Labour Councillors to make sure they fully understand the needs in our area, so we get a fair share of the limited resources that are available.”

Labour MP Alex Sobel said: “I am delighted that Lucy will be representing Labour in the coming election. If successful, she will be such a valuable voice for Otley and Yeadon on the City Council, and together we could do so much more for our area than an MP can do alone.”
