BRAMHOPE Bowls Club will start the New Year with a new lawnmower.
The Outer North West Community Committee has approved funding of £500 from the Outer North West Wellbeing Fund, to help the club replace its current, 25 year old mower. The club is funding the remainder of the total £1,550 cost.
Councillor Barry Anderson (Con, Adel & Wharfedale) said: “I am delighted that the bowling club have been able to get a small grant to replace their existing old mower.
“It was becoming very expensive for them to maintain due to its age and parts were becoming difficult to find.
Councillor Caroline Anderson (Con, Adel & Wharfedale) added: “It is great that we are able to give some funding towards these essential items for clubs. I hope that the club enjoy their new mower and the benefits that it will bring to the green.”
