INDEPENDENT businesses in Keighley are joining forces to help bring some festive cheer to the town.
A number of shops and other premises are taking part in a Christmas Window Advent Calendar, from Tuesday (December 1).
As part of the initiative, a leaflet has been produced containing clues taking people to businesses, each of which will have a special bauble – displaying a letter – in its window.
People are challenged to find what the letters spell out and then submit their entry, by December 22.
There will also be a children’s colouring competition, in three age groups – up to four years, five to eight years and nine to 12 years.
Prizes in the venture include a family hamper.
And there will be a prize for the best selfie taken outside a shop and posted on the event’s Facebook page – Keighley’s Christmas Window Advent Calendar.
There are also feature days, when some shops will have special offers.
