KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities is staging a free virtual event to help jobseekers.

The group’s employment hub team is holding its first-ever online open day, putting advisors in touch with people looking to get back into work.

One-to-one support will be provided covering topics such as writing an effective CV, interview tips and searching job websites.

Advice will also be given on developing skills and qualifications, including information about how to join the hub’s free online maths and English courses.

The open day takes place on Wednesday, December 9, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

Nicki Woods, Incommunities’ contract manager for the employment hub, said: “Lockdown has hit many people’s livelihoods and my team is keen to help jobseekers across the district have a positive new year!

“This virtual open day also aims to break down any barriers people may face in getting back into work and offer them the right support to improve their lives. We have already helped 25 people affected by the lockdown and we’re here to help you!”

To register for a place at the open day, call 01274 257788, text ‘Yes’ to 07983 917362 or email employment.hub@incommunities.co.uk.

People can also use the same contact details to join the team’s free online Job Club.
