THIS picture of a kestrel was taken by Pauline Greenough.
Pauline tells us she took the photograph while she was walking on Farnhill Moor.
"The kestrel landed in a tree about 50 metres away, and it stayed there for nearly a minute trying to find prey on the ground. It's not often you can get that close without disturbing them, unless they're hovering overhead," she says.
"I think they're a beautiful bird of prey and we're lucky to have a couple of breeding pairs in and around Bradley."
Pauline adds the picture is not as sharp as she would have liked, seeing as she was a distance away, we think its still a splendid photograph.
