A FLOOD warning has been issued for the River Aire and properties at Shipley, Nab Wood, Cottingley, Cononley and Skipton are at risk of flooding. 
The Government's Flood Information Service reported levels on the River Aire at Shipley as a result of yesterday’s rainfall and properties around Baildon Road are at risk of flooding.
The service reported levels are expected to remain high throughout this morning but are then expected to fall as no significant rainfall is forecast for the next 24 hours.
The situation will continue to be monitored closely and it is recommended avoid driving on low-lying roads and keep clear of footpaths which are close to watercourses.
Baildon Town Council chairman, Cllr Joe Ashton, who is the lead coordinator for the Baildon Community Emergency and Flood Plan, said: "There's a Red Flood Warning for River Aire at Shipley and Baildon this morning from 5am.
"My colleagues have visited the river at Higher Coach Road/Roberts Park and Baildon Bridge/Woodbottom. They report it is very high but has not yet breached."
Flooding is possible over the next few hours are properties around Branksome Drive, Nab Wood, and those around the Bradford and Bingley Sports Club at Cottingley are also at risk.
A flood alert is also in force for the River Aire at Snaygill Industrial Estate in Skipton and Cononley Business Park
Following earlier rain, the washlands around Cononley are full and river levels around Kildwick have risen.
Levels have now peaked and are expected to remain high into this afternoon, before dropping off throughout the day.
Incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
