THE MAIN road through Bramhope is set to be closed at night for the next two weeks to allow resurfacing work to take place.

Leeds City Council says that the A660 Leeds Road will be shut between 7pm and 2am on weekdays from Monday, October 26 to Friday, November 6.

The closures will affect the stretch from Leeds Road’s junction with the Kings Road roundabout to its junction with High Ridge Way - and there will be no access for vehicles during those times. Bus services and routes will also be affected and passengers are advised to to check beforehand at www.wymetro.com/plan-a-journey/travel-news.

A diversion route, suitable for all vehicles, will be in place and signposted during the closures while access into and out of ‘The Tree Estate’ will be available via Wynmore Avenue, Tredgold Avenue or Breary Lane.

The works - noisy operations near residents’ homes will end by 12.30am - are part of the ongoing new roundabout and road layout scheme linked to Miller Homes’ 319 home Spring Wood Park development.
