An interactive map has revealed a sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases in London.

There has been a significant increase in the number of positive tests reported in Ealing and Barnet.

The map uses data from Public Health England to show potential virus "hotspots" in the country.

It uses the most recent complete data available, displaying information based on figures collected in the seven days leading up to October 10.

The new restrictions mean a ban on household mixing indoors with anyone outside your household or support bubble.

Londoners will be told to avoid public transport where possible, with buses and trains expected to run reduced services.
