A JUNIOR football team in Ilkley has thanked one of its biggest supporters.
Freelance consultant chef Matt Brown has a love of football as well as high quality catering. So when his friend and coach Toby Colley made an appeal for local sponsors to back the Ilkley Juniors football team last year Matt jumped at the chance.
He sponsored the kit for the Under 7s last season and, despite the hospitality sector’s troubles in 2020, has now done the same for the Under 8s. The two Ilkley Town U8s teams presented the chef with his very own replica shirt on Sunday, October 11.
Mr Colley said: “We couldn’t ask anything more of a sponsor. Matt comes down as often as he’s able to support the kids and we are incredibly grateful. The club as a whole has invested heavily in providing the very best facilities for teams of all ages.
“We are incredibly proud to wear shirts supporting a great local business.”
