THANK you to the Gazette for informing us on how our area MPs voted on the Second Reading of the Internal Markets Bill which the government intends to bring onto the statues. It was interesting to read also that one of the two local MPs who voted for this shameful piece of legislation was applauded by a local Conservative Councillor for introducing a bill with regard to the ban of the discharge of raw sewage into the River Wharfe. This is of course indeed commendable, although it is a mystery how that MP expects others to keep such a law while at the same time he is content for the Nation to flout international law and thereby reduce our standing in the world. But then Mr Moore, the MP for Keighley and Ilkley, was content for Dominic Cummings to disregard rules back in April which the rest of us were urged to respect, so why should I be surprised at this inconsistency on law making and law breaking generally?
