THE Solar Gallery - the co-operative of Ilkley artists and makers who exhibit at the Manor House - is back in business.

Sales and interest was high at the weekend when the doors opened for the first time since March. The Gallery is now located in the first room on the ground floor with the second room displaying the Manor House’s historical artefacts. This enables organisers to steer visitors through a one-way system.

“We are really pleased to back and it was lovely to have people come and support us again,” said Linda Dewart, one of the planning team. The exhibition features the work of more than 20 artists including painters, printers and a photographer, as well as textile art, pottery, glassware, woodwork and jewellery.

The gallery is open at the same time as the Manor House, from 11am-4pm each Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can pre-book free tickets from the website (www.ilkleymanorhouse.org) and will be given priority.
