THE Bradford schools trust at the centre of a coronavirus scare has issued advice on what to do if parents fear their children may be showing virus symptoms.
As well as one confirmed case at Kings Academy, in Lidget Green, the Dixons Academies Trust, which runs a number of schools in Bradford including Kings, said five staff members are self-isolating as a precautionary measure.
In a letter it advises parents:
- any pupil who develops symptoms (such as a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell) should stay at home
- pupils should self-isolate for ten days
- all other household members who remain well, must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days, including anyone in the affected person's "Support Bubble"
- order shopping online or ask a friend to do it for you
Dixons Kings Academy, which remains open, has introduced staggered starts for pupils.
