A WHARFEDALE MP has been out and about in Otley to show his support for local tourism.
Alex Sobel (Lab, Leeds North West) recently enjoyed taking a hire boat out on the River Wharfe as part of a busy day in the town.
During his trip the politician also visited the market and the Black Horse Hotel, on Westgate.
He said: “It is great that Otley is back open for business and I had a fantastic time visiting the town’s tourist hotspots.
“As Shadow Minister for Tourism and Heritage I know how important tourism is for the UK economy as a whole and the struggles that everyone in the industry is having due to COVID-19.
“On the positive side, people are starting to see the benefits of visiting within the UK and Otley is a must-see destination for people from all over the country. It is great to see so many businesses and attractions safely opening up again.”
