ILKLEY residents are being encouraged to help keep the Bradford District’s ‘sparkle’ going this summer.
Sparkling Bradford is a bi-annual scheme that aims to boost the visitor economy by showcasing the local attractions and beauty spots, such as Ilkley Moor, that are available. The 2020 campaign - launched with a new website, www.sparklingbradford.info - is focused on helping the hospitality, retail and tourist sectors recover from the coronavirus lockdown.
It is being delivered by VisitBradford, The Broadway Bradford, Bradford Business Improvement District (BID) and Bradford Council.
Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, Councillor Sarah Ferriby, said: “We are so proud of how our businesses have embraced change and adapted to an incredibly challenging situation. Sparkling Bradford is a crucial initiative as it will support the district’s broad offering.”
